In 1967, Curtis Davis and his son, Al, purchased the Hank Adams Fire Extinguisher Company, a very small one-man company. The name was changed to Metropolitan Fire Extinguisher Company, and in 1991, the company was incorporated. Installation and servicing of fire extinguishers was the company's primary function. The business originally operated from Al's home but because of growth located to Patterson Road in Little Rock, where it operated for over 20 years until more space was needed. In 1991, the company opened its 14,000 square foot building located at 5120 West 65th Street in Little Rock in the southwest industrial area.
Over the years, the scope of the business has expanded to include hydro-testing, fire department supplies including Scott AirPak sales and repairs, safety equipment and fire suppression systems for kitchens, off- road vehicles, paint booths and fuel islands.
The company has grown to be one of the largest fire protection companies in Arkansas. It has undergone many changes through the years to keep up with the ever-changing fire equipment industry always improving its customer service and providing the very best products available.
